40 Days of Prayer - Day 27

Reform

2 Timothy 3:16

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Founding Father Quote:
“[T]he rational and peaceable instrument of reform, the suffrage of the people.”
-Thomas Jefferson

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, if we are Your children, we must lift the banner of Your commandments as the standard we unashamedly endorse, both in our public and private lives.  We must endorse the candidates You have put in a position of power by casting our ballots.  It is not only an honor and privilege to do so, but our duty as Christians.  May our judgment no longer be clouded by the mandates of the world, but may we begin to seek You with our whole heart, never settling for second-rate substitutes.  Send Your Holy Spirit to empower us as we seek complete reform in our nation’s infrastructure.  It is only by Your grace that we can prevail.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

"Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me from your presence
or take away your holy spirit from me".
Psalm 51:10-11
