These are very troubling times for our country. We are 16 trillion dollars in debt and the federal government still has an out-of-control spending problem. Our 2nd Amendment rights are under constant attack by Obama and his socialist allies. Without a doubt, Obama's recent re-election is a real threat to the United States of America as a free constitutional republic.
My friends, we cannot at this critical time in our country's history give up and do nothing. That is exactly what Obama wants. All it takes for tyranny to flourish is for good men and women to do nothing. As Republicans we must stand strong and together at this important time  and in the future.
Stand for freedom. Stand for strong Republican principles. Please accept this invitation to attend our annual Lincoln Day Banquet.

Respectfully,
Rick Shoemaker
Chairman,
Macon County Republican Central Committee

2nd Amendment Preservation Act - Senate Bill Hearing

We need your witness form for the Senate version of the 2nd Amendment Preservation Act!

The House hearing witness forms were submitted last week.

The hearing for SB 325 is Tuesday afternoon at 3:00.

This is a new hearing in front of a new committee, so we need a new witness form from you.

PLEASE! Only fill out one per bill.

Committee: General Laws, Senator Brian Nieves, Chairman

Date: Tuesday, March 12
Time: 3:00 p.m.
Room: SCR 1

SB 325 - Nieves
Declares the General Assembly's position on the authority of the federal government, declares as invalid certain federal gun laws, and prohibits the enforcement of such laws.

If you are unable to attend your voice can still be heard in this hearing!

Please fill out the online witness form. See the link below to access the form. It's simple, just fill in the boxes marked in red, add your comments if desired and hit the "submit" button at the bottom of the form. If you want updates on the progress of this bill, include your email address at the bottom of this form. Once you submit the form you'll get another screen with the option to print a copy for your records.

This online form is a legal record of your voice that will be hand carried into the hearing:

Why are these witness forms important? There are literally hundreds of bills under consideration at the Capitol in Jefferson City. Leadership in the House and Senate have to choose which ones get some of the limited time they have, and a large public outcry for a bill elevates its importance.

2nd Amendment Preservation Act - HB436 Update

From Missouri First:

Thank you for filling out a witness form for HB 436, the Second Amendment Preservation Act.

At the hearing for HB 436, we delivered your, and about 1230 other witness forms from citizens all over the state in support of the bill. There were witness forms from every committee member's district.

The committee members were clearly impressed with the huge showing of support. Although they won't likely page through that huge stack of paper, our new Constituent's Voice application will allow them to read the testimony section in an easy to read online addition. They will also be able to sort the comments by district, to see what their own constituents wrote. (Note that we could not identify the districts for all the witnesses.)

Many of them included insightful comments which you may want to read. Click: Constituent's Voice for HB 436 (To protect the privacy of witnesses, only the first name and last name initial are shown, but the legislators get to see the full name as well as phone number and email address of those who gave permission.)

The hearing included good news coverage. Here's an example: Bill to nullify federal gun laws meets support in House committee

BREAKING!

The senate version of HB 436, Senate Bill 325 (SB325), will likely have a hearing on Tuesday, next week. Be looking for a witness form link for that hearing. Not only do these forms help to elevate the priority of a bill, they become an important part of the public record and are stored in the state archives.

URGENT ACTION ALERT - Agenda 21

Short notice but I just received this information this evening.

Agenda 21 is little more than an all-out attack on personal property rights. The body that drafted the initiative (the U.N.) has openly and without hesitation stated its opposition to property rights:

"Land… cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market. Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth and therefore contributes to social injustice; if unchecked, it may become a major obstacle in the planning and implementation of development schemes. The provision of decent dwellings and healthy conditions for the people can only be achieved if land is used in the interest of society as a whole." -United Nations Conference on Human Settlements

Missouri Rep. Lyle Rowland and Sen. Brian Nieves have introduced companion bills that would protect Missourians from the onerous plan known as U.N. Agenda 21.
Rep. Rowland’s bill, HB42 has already passed out of committee.
HB42: http://www.house.mo.gov/billsummary.aspx?bill=HB42&year=2013&code=R

Sen. Brian Nieves’ legislation, SB265, will be heard in committee tomorrow, Tuesday, March 5, at 3 p.m. in Hearing Room 1 in the Capitol Building, Jefferson City, Missouri.
SB265: http://www.senate.mo.gov/13info/BTS_Web/Bill.aspx?SessionType=R&BillID=17912478

  • This legislation is important to protecting the rights of the citizens of Missouri, including…and most especially…property rights.
  • Specifically, this legislation bars the takeover of private property without due process.
  • This legislation would protect the citizens of Missouri from the encroachment of their rights by international institutions.
  • This legislation provides a level of protection for local governments so they do not get drawn into Agenda 21 policy through Federal funding or a contractual arrangement with governmental and/or NGO (nongovernmental) organizations that are federally funded and indoctrinated to promote Agenda 21, which would ultimately compromise the autonomy of the political subdivisions of the State of Missouri.
  • Passage of this vital legislation is necessary as a sovereignty-preserving measure for the State of Missouri and its citizens against the intended globalization and loss of local control embodied in Agenda 21, as well as protect the sovereignty and integrity of the political subdivisions of the State of Missouri against loss of autonomy to globalization.
  • In conclusion…passage of this legislation would protect Missourians’ liberty and way of life.
  • MOST IMPORTANTLY…passage of this law would put Missouri and U.S. Constitutional Law above International Law.
WHAT YOU CAN DO:

I know this is very short notice but if possible make plans to attend the hearing on Senate Bill No. 265  tomorrow, Tuesday, March 5, at 3 p.m. in Hearing Room 1 in the Capitol Building, Jefferson City, Missouri.

Please get informed, stay educated on Agenda 21 and ICLEI. This information comes from the people at: http://eyesona21.org/

Know what’s going on in your community, attend your city hall, chamber of commerce, regional meetings, etc. Agenda 21 is implemented, oftentimes under the radar via governmental and nongovernmental agencies

URGENT ACTION ALERT - DoR STATE VIOLATION

URGENT ACTION ALERT - DoR STATE VIOLATION
Drivers Licenses, I.D. Cards
and Concealed Carry Permits!!

From Missouri Family Network:

The Missouri Department of Revenue redirected local Driver's License offices to scan all your 'source documents' including photo, birth certificate, SS card, and CCW certificate, and send them in to a national Homeland Security database so those identification documents can be traced through your driver's license or non-driver's license cards! Welcome to Big Brother's big back yard!

You can do something about your driver's license being used as a national ID card or "walking papers". Email mofamnet@ldd.net for all the details on DOR's illegal actions and what you can do about your privacy being violates by this State agency!

There's a lot to read but it's all valuable information that you need to know! MFN's phones have been ringing off the hook, most people want to know, "What do we do about it?!" Please take the time to read all the information MFN has put together for us to take action.

And finally...

It wasn't until I read the information from Missouri Family Network that found out Missouri was changing their licenses.

From KMBC News:

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. —Missouri drivers will see changes in their driver's licenses beginning this year.

The Department of Revenue said new licenses will have security features, such as special printing, laser perforations and bar codes. The state said the changes are designed to protect the owner's identity and fight fraud.

The state also plans to issue temporary licenses at licenses offices, and drivers will receive their permanent licenses in the mail seven to 10 days later.

And drivers under the age of 21 will get vertical licenses.

The revenue department said the new licenses will be phased in by April and will be provided at no extra cost.

An interesting article I found on it:
